About This Experience
Silverline runs this cruise from the same Pest-side pier as its plain dinner cruise, over the same two-hour route, and it starts with a glass of Prosecco. What you pay extra for is the entertainment. The booking options call it a folk show, and reviewers describe a live band, a singer and dancers performing while dinner is served. The listing says sailings start around sunset, so the show gets going as the lights come on along both banks.
There are two prices. On dates checked in late October 2026, the dinner with folk show was $102 per person, and the version with a reserved window table was $130 per person. Without the window option you take the table you are given, and Silverline does not promise a view from it. If the view matters to you as much as the show, the extra $28 each is how you make sure of it.
Dinner is four courses, with a vegetarian option and menus on board in several languages. No set menu is published. Reviewers are warmer about the service and the show than about the food: most liked it, one called the meal just okay, and another said there was almost too much of it. The welcome Prosecco is the only drink included. Everything after that is bought on board, and Silverline asks guests not to bring their own food or drinks.
The route matches Silverline’s other evening sailings: Gellért Hill, the Chain Bridge, Buda Castle and the Parliament building, out to Margaret Bridge and along to the Palace of Arts (Müpa) and the National Theatre. Matthias Church, the Fisherman’s Bastion, the Pesti Vigadó and the Liberty Statue are all in view along the way. There is no guided commentary. One reviewer, a retired folk dancer who loved the show, said they had expected someone to point out the sights.
Of the three Silverline cruises on this site, this is the pick for a first evening in Budapest with friends or family who want some entertainment with dinner. It is rated 4.4 from 1,341 reviews. Couples hoping for a quiet conversation may prefer the plain four-course cruise, which has background music only. The boat is not suitable for wheelchair users, and pets, luggage and large bags are not allowed on board. You can also compare all dinner cruises.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.4/5 by 1,341 verified GetYourGuide travelers.
I was 100% satisfied with the vacation we just had in Budapest. This city was a wonderful surprise. The monuments and attractions are well maintained and look new because of how well they are cared for, and the transportation in Budapest is absolutely super efficient. I absolutely recommend this vacation.

We had a wonderful time! Our server Zoli was informed and kind. The meal was just okay, the drinks were great, the entertainment was fantastic. The band was excellent, the singer was lovely, and the dancers were very talented. I happen to be a retired Hungarian folk dancer with 21 years of experience. This group killed it and made it a great time for us. We were a little disappointed nothing was pointed out as we passed it, we were expecting a little more information on the trip but it was just a dinner cruise which is fine, our expectations were just off. And an idea for the future, we would have loved to have been able to dance to the music some as well. Maybe offer a longer trip with the same entertainment and dancing for the guests at the end. We booked this for my Dad’s birthday and he had a wonderful time. Thank you so much!

Frequently Asked Questions
How is this different from Silverline's plain dinner cruise?
Both leave from the same pier, follow the same two-hour route and serve four courses with a welcome Prosecco. This one adds a live Hungarian folk show, which reviewers describe as a band, a singer and dancers, and it lets you pay extra for a reserved window table. The plain cruise has quiet background music only.
How much extra is the window table?
On dates checked in late October 2026, the folk-show dinner was $102 per person and the window-table version was $130 per person, so about $28 more each. Without that option, Silverline does not promise you a seat by the window.
Is there any commentary about the sights?
No guide or commentary is listed, and one reviewer said they had expected someone to point out the landmarks. The evening is a dinner with a show. If you want to know what you are passing, read up on the Parliament, Buda Castle and the bridges before you go.
Are drinks included?
One welcome glass of Prosecco per person is included. Any other drink is ordered and paid for on board, and Silverline asks guests not to bring their own food or drinks, so budget for wine or soft drinks with dinner if you want them.
Can I bring luggage on board?
No. Luggage and large bags are not allowed, and neither are pets. If you are heading to the station or airport afterwards, leave your bags somewhere secure first, and give yourself enough time to reach the pier 30 minutes before departure.
