About This Experience
This is the simplest of the three Silverline evening cruises on this site, and for a lot of people that is the appeal. You board on the Pest side near Erzsébet (Elisabeth) Bridge, get a glass of Prosecco as a welcome drink, and sit down to a four-course dinner while the boat spends two hours on the river. The listing says departures are timed to start around sunset, so in late October you set off in fading light and come back with the bridges and the Parliament lit up.
No fixed menu is published, so expect four courses chosen by the kitchen, with a vegetarian option and menus on board in several languages. Reviewers mostly praise the food and the portions (one said the main course was almost too big), though one recent guest found the pork dry. Only the welcome Prosecco is included. Wine and every other drink are bought on board, and a few reviewers point out that this pushes the bill up on a ticket that is already not cheap.
The music is live but kept in the background, so you can still talk across the table. One reviewer described pleasant background music on the upper deck while Hungarian folk music and dancing went on downstairs. The folk show is what Silverline sells as its separate Prosecco and folk-show cruise, so if dancers are what you are after, book that one. Another guest found a singer’s microphone a little loud, but most mention the musicians and the staff warmly.
The listed route takes in Gellért Hill, the Chain Bridge, Buda Castle and the Parliament building, and reaches Margaret Bridge at one end and the Palace of Arts (Müpa) and the National Theatre at the other. Along the way you also see Matthias Church and the Fisherman’s Bastion on the Buda side, the Pesti Vigadó on the Pest bank, the Liberty Statue and several university buildings. No commentary is listed, so it helps to know roughly what you are looking at before you board.
It suits couples and small groups of friends who want a sit-down dinner with the city lit up outside and music they can talk over. It is rated 4.4 from 1,450 reviews, and on dates checked in late October 2026 it cost $89 per person, the lowest price of the Silverline dinner cruises covered here. The boat is not suitable for wheelchair users. If you want a show or a guaranteed window table, look at the folk-show version, or compare all dinner cruises.

What Travelers Say
Rated 4.4/5 by 1,450 verified GetYourGuide travelers.
The activity and the transportation were of a very high standard. The staff are very kind and friendly. We had a great time. I can recommend that everyone who goes on this evening cruise with dinner will have a very nice experience.

The food was excellent, but given the price, which is not cheap, some drinks could have been included. We had to buy the wine separately, and what was already expensive became even more expensive. But, that said, I would do it again.

We had a great time on the cruise. The table by the window was worth the money and the food was excellent (if anything the main course was too big!). All the staff were great from our waitress to the dancers and the musicians (who were first class). The views were stunning too. Highly recommended.

Frequently Asked Questions
Are drinks included on the Silverline 4-course dinner cruise?
One welcome glass of Prosecco per person is included. Wine, soft drinks and anything else are ordered and paid for on board, and several reviewers mention that drinks add noticeably to the bill, so budget for them if you like wine with dinner. You cannot bring your own.
What time does the cruise leave?
The listing says the two-hour cruise is timed to start around sunset, so the departure time moves with the season. Check the starting times when you choose a date, and be at the pier 30 minutes beforehand.
Is there a vegetarian option?
Yes. The listing says a vegetarian option is available, and menus are offered on board in several languages. No other diets are mentioned, so if you have an allergy or a stricter requirement, contact Silverline after booking to check what the kitchen can do.
Is there a folk show on this cruise?
The listing promises live background music only. Some reviewers mention Hungarian folk music and dancing on the lower deck, which is what Silverline sells as its separate Prosecco and folk-show cruise. If the dancers matter to you, book that version, which also offers a window-table option.
What happens if I arrive late?
Silverline asks you to arrive 30 minutes early. If you are late for your sailing, it can rebook you onto another one, subject to availability, for a surcharge of 50% of the original price paid on the spot. Free cancellation applies up to 24 hours before the cruise.
