About This Experience
The cruise leaves from Dock 6 on the Pest embankment near Vigadó tér and lasts about two hours. You start with a welcome glass of prosecco as the boat sets off, then dinner is served at your table while you cruise through the centre of the city. The boat returns to the same dock at the end, which puts you back in the middle of Pest with the rest of the evening free to walk along the river or find a bar.
You choose your menu when you book: two traditional Hungarian menus, a traditional poultry menu or a vegetarian menu, all at the same price. Each runs to four courses, and the listing says they are made with local ingredients. The dishes themselves are not listed, but recent reviewers mention gulyás and duck, and several say the portions filled them up without leaving them stuffed. Children under 3 do not need a ticket if they are not eating, but tell the operator so they can set a seat.
The evening is built around the entertainment. The Ökrös Band, a Hungarian folk group, plays live, and a folklore dance performance takes place during the cruise. Reviewers mention the dancers again and again, and several describe the music as lively and fun. If you are hoping for a quiet, intimate dinner, this is a sociable boat. One recent guest’s only complaint was a noisy group at a nearby table, which can happen on any shared cruise.
Only the prosecco is included. Beer, wine, spirits, cocktails and soft drinks are sold on board from a price list on your table, and you cannot bring your own. One reviewer found the prices fair enough to order a bottle of prosecco. The route passes the Chain Bridge, Parliament, Margaret Bridge and Margaret Island, then the Buda side with Fisherman’s Bastion, Buda Castle and Matthias Church, and on to the Citadella, Erzsébet (Elisabeth) Bridge and the National Theatre.
On dates checked in late October 2026 it cost $99 per person whichever menu you choose, and the page shows 2,191 reviews with a 4.6 average. It suits a first evening in Budapest, when you want Hungarian food, folk music and the main sights in one outing. It is not suitable for wheelchair users. In severe wind, hail or thunderstorms the city authorities can stop all river cruises. If you would prefer an open bar or a calmer dinner, compare all dinner cruises.

A magical and unforgettable evening on the Danube! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We took the evening river cruise with dinner in Budapest on Thursday, October 15, and it was simply a fantastic experience that exceeded all our expectations! Seeing Budapest illuminated at night from the water is a breathtaking sight: the Parliament, Buda Castle and the historic bridges create a truly romantic and captivating atmosphere. The 4-course dinner was excellent, with carefully prepared, delicious and beautifully presented dishes. Special praise also goes to the entertainment: the live folk music made the evening lively, engaging and culturally rich, without ever being intrusive. The staff on board were extremely courteous, professional and attentive to every detail, making us feel pampered throughout the entire excursion. An experience that I highly recommend to anyone visiting Budapest for a special and memorable evening. Not to be missed!

Food was lovely, really enjoyed the goulash and the duck. The prosecco was lovely too so we ended up getting a bottle. Reasonably priced for drinks. We enjoyed the entertainment, especially the dancers. It was a great night and experience, I would recommend.
